Female Financial Advisors Are Great
68Why you need a woman advisor!
We all like to shop and buy from people we like. The same should apply to how we choose our financial advisors. Women advisors are very adept at understanding your financial needs. Women pay attention to all the details and look at the Big Picture. In the financial world, it seems the large, International, investment wire-houses, still have a caveman mentality in 2011. Only men can perform a great job of managing money and investing! I think it is rather comical because women are the shoppers and who can tell you what is on sale. If the same skills are applied to understanding stocks, imagine how healthy your investment portfolio would be.
I have a friend, named Vicky . She works for one of the big Investment firms. Her biggest complaint is firms do nothing to help their female advisors. She said, "It is almost as if they expect you to fail." There is no one to guide you. Anyone in a supervisory position is usually a male and offers no advice. Financial advisors learn through trial and error.
Vicky is the type of advisor who can help a lot of women out there who do not understand the markets. She is a professional and highly respected in her field. Vicky has a heart of gold when it comes to treating her clients. She is driven, smart and does her research.
Male financial advisors that I have dealt with in the past were not as detailed. In fact there were several who actually did not pay attention to our account and we lost money. They do not listen to a women. They say all the right things to get your account and then you never hear from them again. We were poorly advised by males advisors.
A women advisor unlike a male advisor would warn you of the market volatility. A woman advisor is more patient and will look out for your interests. Besides, women make better comparison shoppers and provide better service overall.
I had a link on this page to her firm, but she requested anonymity for fear of repercussions and losing her job. I am sure you can relate to that.

Our financial advisor is a man. It seems that there aren't a lot of female financial advisors as I only know of one. Given a choice I would look more at qualifications than at gender.
I think a woman advisor is a great choice. They seem to tend to pay more attention to the details. Although I have had a male advisor who was so detail orientated that he drove me nuts.
Very well written! I couldn't agree more. Women definitely take the time to offer full financial planning and get to know you, which is important when helping you make financial decisions.

I think you are right. There are far less females...and true, qualifications are important.
We have hired based on qualifications and they have fallen short for some reason or another.
